It works again now so we will pretend it never happenedNo. So unless there is a timer unit somewhere set at 10 minutesthen I would suspect an iffy light switch or intermittent wiring connection.

Pink relay ? No such thing fitted to a D1 and the only item that dips the headlights with the side lights on is the lighting switch.With D1s dim-dip feature, when the side lamps are switch on the headlight dip beam is then on but in a dim mode, when the lighting switch is turned to main beam the dim-function is extinguished.
Of course dim-only system only functions with the engine running, but I expect that the dim-dip system has been isolated by most D1 owners by now.

Yes, a resistor which is mounted at the rear of engine bay, just unplug it to remove the dim-dip function.
I’m sure defenders got this also. Don’t ask me where the one is for my resto. It’s in a really safe place that even I’m not allowed to know

Dim-dip was a legal requirement in the UK from about 1986 through to about the mid-90s when it was quietly dropped.
