As above, 300tdi disco. Don’t have any other electrical faults. I suspect battery isn’t the best after it was stood lots in winter.
Would a sluggish battery cause this? I.e. full beam won’t run until alternator has topped up the battery?

No. So unless there is a timer unit somewhere set at 10 minutes then I would suspect an iffy light switch or intermittent wiring connection.
