Accompanied by an adult, was at the pub, and I said when you gonna make mine go faster, and he said now, and so off we went to get a screw driver :D

Woo, I like it. He has a fookin lovely series 2!!

Oh dear...

If you've just whacked it up to max fueling it's going to have all the longevity of a chocolate fireguard. Have you increased the boost pressure at all... have you checked what the boost pressure is currently? Does it smoke at all, either on or off boost?

We only turned it a little bit, don't know about boost pressure that didn't get mentioned to me. No it doesn't smoke at all.

If it isn't smoking while on boost you'll be fine. For your next mod fit a boost gauge and up the boost pressure from stock (somewhere around the .75bar mark) to around 1bar. That'll make the most use of the extra fueling and even more of a difference ;)

Interesting....thanks. I'll mention it and see what I get told! :D Next mods are also side exit exhaust, thats going to be straight through...going to help with that one! and new springs and shocks with 2" lift once I find a suitable set. :D

be drinking even more doozil now :p
Only if she uses the extra performance available. One of the great things about diesel engines... you can tune the nuts off 'em and get exactly the same economy as before, in some cases better, provided you drive it nicely. It's a bit more tricky trying to achieve the same with a petrol engine ;)

of course, I always tend to think about petroil injuns  of course turboing a doozil actually IMPROVES economy.

just how difficult is it to increase the fuel injection and the boost pressure?
been thinking of trying to do it myself, but never plucked up the courage lol

It's a piece of ****... it's doing it well and not turning your engine into a grenade that's the slightly more difficult bit ;)
