Hi all,

As some of you may know I am rebuilding a 1984 Range Rover :faint2:

I have been given a plastic fuel tank off a friends Tomcat safari comp racer which started life as a 1996 3.9 V8 Disco.

I have the tank and fuel pump and that is it. I have looked underneath my friends 1995 300TDi disco and the tank is different but I have an idea of how to secure it but still not 100%

Has anybody rebuilt a disco with this tank in? do you have pictures of it? or even better do you have the brackets, fixings, bits of bailer twine that used to support the tank?

I will try and get a picture of the tank tomorrow.

I have asked Google and searched on hear with no luck.

v8 and 300tdi tank are the same , you need under tray and top strap and brackets to weld to chassis

Thought that was what it looked like, trying to find some but struggling atm. Breakers yards may be calling

I have found somewhere that had a tank cradle and strap for sale so bought them. Hopefully it will work without to much modifications

This does not look the same as the tank under the 300 TDI as the filler pipe and top section of the tank don't sit over the axel.

thats because it isnt a rrc or disco tank

This looks like the beasty. Hmmmmmmm fit a Defender tank into a RRC
