Hi,
No you dont need to bleed the fuel pump on the V8 as the system is self priming. The only thing i had to do when i changed my pump was flick the ignition swith on and off a few times to make sure the fuel was through to the injectors.
Interesting the fuel pump from the old ford mondeo's are almost an exact fittment, and rated exact the same. A very cheep fix for a failing fuel pump.
