Good evening gents
The FL has had some strange goings on over the last few days. EM light is on- pretty much constantly now, although at weekend it was doing half hour stints. When the EM is on, it has a tendency to;

Shake/ misfire (?) at neutral
Be very slow to rev/ accelerate
Struggle to reach high speeds
Generally shake a bit when driving
Rev slower than usual when in neutral (interesting thing here is when the accelerator isn't pressed and revs are dropping, the EM light goes out until it rests at 1k revs.. I'll try to attach a video)

Then after a while the EM like G&T will go out and it'll drive be perfectly.

Mmm. could be anything fuel related if its not also smoking.

In general loss of turbo means poor running and smoke, loss of fuel means poor running and no smoke!

Or it could simply be water or other crap in the diesel. Twice in my life I have had tanks of diesel that made me think I had damaged the engine..


But I lean here towards low fuel pressure which is emaphsisng slightly unequal injectors to give a ragged and low performance.

The fuel pressure is readable by a garage with code reader.

Another possible is the MAF sensor.
