Hi guys.

I'm trying to remove the filter from my 92 V8 and can't move one of the connector nuts for love nor money.

Am I okay cutting the steel fuel line further down the line towards the the front, say leaving 10 inches of steel line, so I can lift the whole lot out and undo the nut in a vice. I have new flexi high pressure line and I am replacing everything else. Can I just connect it up again sliding the flexi pipe over the steel line, or can someone point me towards a pipe tail that will screw into the fuel filter and 8mm hose so I can replace the whole lot?

Happy New Year etc :)

your lucky youve still got a serviceable steel pipe left ,its fine to sleeve rubber fuel hose over and hose clip up

Thanks. It has been replaced before, but is now looking ropey. What about one of these pipe tail thingies?

Did this on my 92 RRC a few months ago. Oh how many times I said bad words!!

What a job it was trying to get the nut off, with no joy. So I ended up removing the rubber fuel hose that was attached to the steel fuel line. My trouble was I noticed a pin hole in the steel line, just at the bit it goes up and over the chassis. So after many more sweary words, I managed to cut through the fuel line and replace with fuel hose. Then went on to eblagand ordered a fuel filter with new fuel hose already attached so the next time there's not gona be any farting about trying to remove a nut from the filter.

Good luck, :)
