any idea where to get a special fuel filler hose? I'm connecting an early filler (dia 57mm) to a td5 tank (dia 52mm), with a distance of just under a metre and a fair bend.

Needs to be hard wearing as its just behind rear wheel.

Is it acceptable to get a spiral bound flexi rubber hose 57 ID and then a 5mm reducing ring, or would it be better getting one made for the job?

Thanks

if you use rubber hose for fuel you need to make sure it is the correct grade of rubber. personally i would get one made up from steel pipe

I meant that nitrile fuel hose stuff. think I'll just get a later filler tube with the same diameter as the late tank and get a lengh of flexi stuff from cbs.

Surely a metal one would fracture over time due to vibration, unless you get a metal adapter made then use fuel grade rubber hose for the rest.

Do we need aragant ****s on here?
I was only trying to ****ing help, kinda get a bit ****ed off with
people.

you gotta roll with the punches kid.

then jab em in the kidneys when they're not looking.

well if it aint your bag then dunt wear it, if you think a bit of ribbing is arrogance you obviously have a low self esteem,

anyway its a plastic tank - wont take kindly to having metal welded to it....

A late disco filler pipe should do the job (?) and then the rubber-esque jobby from it to fuel tank.. not that any of this matters till I get my 8-weeks-and-counting-from-order-delivery-yet-unknown-fuel-tank-cradle..
