can the front vents just be filled using tiger seal and painted over,or do i have to use filler,as theres a little bit of corrosion there..

yeah but take the seals out then close vents and seal em. or just buy a noo set of vents they int expensive items.

the vent rubbers seem fine and they open n close ok.

but its just one more place for water to get in,so i will do like ya say and remove the rubbers and then seal them shut and paint over
 
I would treat that rust before you do as it will eat the crap out of it.You wont be getting to it once you tiger seal it .
 
Those vents are wonderful in the summer and they are one of the last places you will get water coming in if the flaps and rubbers are good. I took mine off, primed, painted and not a drip of water in almost a year. As above, sort that rust first.
You can always seal them at a later date.... free air con! :)
