Anyone got any tips on how to get the front tie rods off? Doing a body lift and have taken the rear ones out and got the nuts off the front ones but the pin is seized in the rod and it looks impossible to get an angle grinder in there to cut the pin head off (why didnt they put them in the other way Grrrr) Tied knocking the pin through but the bracket is bending

Any ideas?

I cant believe everyone who has done a body lift has just simply taken the old ones off

Do you not just need to undo the bottom nut? You can then jack the body off the chassis to give you more space for the grinder. From memory when i did mine i sheared the rear two but the front ones were ok after a liberal squirting of plus gas.

Got their in the end. Managed to cut the head off the pin with a dremel and then push the pin through, cut most of the other side off then push it back and it fell out. New ones now fitted
