Hello there, just joined the forum.
I have a discovery 2 with a front sunroof not working.

Rear works fine and I have swapped switches and they both work so not that. Initially thought it was a broken motor so got a second hand one off eBay, that did not solve it. I think it is now electrical being a dodger ECU or an open circuit. Trouble is I am not certain how to test for either. So any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

Are you getting a feed to the sunroof switch or motor? Using a meter, what do you see on each of the terminals of either when you press the switch?
I don't have the circuit to hand, but the switch almost certainly controls a relay which in turn will feed the motor. The relay switched supply to the motor will also be fused, so find where that is and check it's OK.
As I've got manual sunroofs I've no direct experience of this, so the above is just 'generalisation', others on here will have chapter and verse on this subject!

Hi, I got the multimeter out and I have power getting to the switches and I can hear a click from the ECU when I press the switch one way but not the other. I connected the original motor I took out of the car and it works one way but not the other. Does this sound like a relay/ECU problem?
Grateful for any help. Thanks
