i'd look for slight play in any of the steering components, any play being agrivated by the 2" lift altering the castor angle?

Well, today I fitted an adjustable panhard rod and got the front axle properly centred (it was 1/4" to the off side after the 2" lift). I then took a lot of time and care over getting the tracking spot on and the steering wheel centralised.

There has been a further slight improvement in the vibration problem - it's only there between 40 and 50mph now and is reduced in severity.

However, the steering and handling has been transformed! The steering wheel is now central when driving straight, it self-centres better, it doesn't bump-steer and it doesn't follow the ruts so badly. A much more pleasant drive.

I think tomorrow I'll try removing the rear prop shaft and see if that's where the remaining vibration is coming from.

Oh, and no more swivel grease leaks!

I'm back in love with my Landy.:D :amen:

Bit the bullet today and took the rear propshaft off.

Smooth as a baby's bottom now! No vibration at all anywhere.

Looking closely at the prop, I can see where the yokes have been binding. And that's with only a 2" lift!

Wide yoke prop on order - will arrive tomorrow, so I'll report back then.

It's a question of needs must mate.

It's that of take the lift kit off and I gave away the std springs and shocks!

I'm beyond the point of no return with this one.
