New to Landyzone,
Got my first P38 4.6 back in May, she's the last of the P38's registered in 2002,
About a month ago the hazards stopped flashing when I lock her up. Everything still locks and unlocks fine so didn't worry about it too much but I've noticed now that when I mannually lower the EAS the passenger front door can be opened without it disabling the lowering of the car. Any other door is opened then the car stops lowering straight away, also when the front passenger door is opened the internal lights no longer come on. Is this all a symptom of the same fault?

A friend of a friend said that it was the actuator but after reading through the threds I'm not so sure as I said every thing locks and unlock fine on the fob no sticking mechanism at all.

As anyone any ideas as to where I might start?

Cheers

it is the actuator, more to the point, the internals. take off the whole mechanism and strip it down by taking out the small screws and fiddling with the internals, grease it up with some vaseline and reassemble. check the multiplug and microswitch while your in there for corrosion.

its an easy job but you will need a torx set to get it off(i think) and take the door card off. an hour tops and it should be sorted.

Thanks for that, it worked a treat for the EAS & internal lights problem but still not getting any hazzards when I lock the car up.
Not really a problem unless this means that I'm not fully alarmed?
Any ideas?

Cheers

John :)
