hi got myself a 300 disco that needs front inner arches !! have been told i can rivet new ones in as they are not structural,does anyone know if this is right ?? thanks in advance

yu called?

No you cant pop rivet them in - or more precisely the OS one is within 8 inches (is it 8?) of the brake servo and is therefore considered structural by MOT peeps.
yu mite get away with the NS one, but if yu gorra weld one, you might as well do the job proper and weld both.
You can get complete Inner wing sections (now :hurt:) from YRM for £60 notes each.

Damn that was quick mad hat man ! thanks ,was just gonna pm ya when i had made a cuppa ! thanks again . will have to see if my brother still got his mig and will start practising !!!
 
be forewarned - if the inner wings are shot, then it appears quite likely that the footwells wont be far behind.
Have yu taken the carpets up and checked?
 
Cheers for that mate have checked footwells and rear floor (the usual places ) they seem fine a bit of rust but not rotten !!

£60, amazing. I remember many years ago when I had my classic RR these
things cost £250 each...........Anyhoo back to Freelandering:)
 
when i started on mi inner wings didnt seem to bad now replacing 2 inner wings including top hat ,battery tray,light box,both foot wells and the front door post
get yer outter wings of and cills of as well as the carpet up and get stabbing wi a screw driver its adicctive jist ask daft
