Hello,

I would like to renew the seal thar goes between the rear of the front diff and the part that the front prop bolts onto.... while the axle is off.

Don't know what it is called.
My manual does not show how to do it and i can't find it in the search bar.

If i could be pointed in the direction of a thread that shows how to change the seal and what tools are needed that would be fantastic.

Is it a hard task?
Should i renew the rear as this axle is also off?

Thank you for helping in this matter.

That will be a Pinion oil seal, it's not a hard task and it's up to u in replacing the rear one, is it leaking?

How do you do it?
what tools?

while the axles are off, might as well have a go.

if the axle is off and the diff is still in the axle casing, then either make up a flat bar with a couple of holes in it that you can bolt through the flange to, to stop it rotating or maybe get some big stilsons on the flange across the flats so it cant spin, do you have access to airtools or a leccy impact nut spinner?

Thank you for replies,

I've saved the video and made a note of ideas, first thing to do is check me tool box.
