SS would be nice as it saves them rusting. Freelander has single pistons in its calipers

have been speaking to some brake rebuild specialists in pricing things up etc ,

I didn't even ask but they told me to use red rubber grease on the seals and Pistons when rebuilding them

have never heard of it

I was happy to use brake fluid as per suggested but ordered a small tube of this stuff and just thought I would pass the info on
