Hi Cassie, I hope you managed to claw some enjoyment back from your trip in the end. I take it your back now. A report would be good for those also needing mechanical assistance in the regions you got stuck, It could turn out to be a more comical read, depending on your writing style/skills. Not that your situation was comical, but looking back, like you say all you can do is laugh. I have to say, Im no good with these things and surprised you enjoyed the Moroc report. I thought it was lengthy and on a par with Tom Sheperd's style of "Quiet for a Tuesday" (still not finished it). Going to try a new approach for this one, get my girlfriend to write a few sections for a different point of view.
This trip was reasonably well set out, not as much as Morocco due to, in part, it still being Europe. Not all trouble free though, after a short stop on the M4 at the services we got 5 miles down the road to a loud rumbling (propshaft, has to be propshaft) turns out all the wheel nuts on the front n/s were undone! does anyone think someone undid them? never had a problem with them and all others were rock solid. coincidently the locking nut was still secure. who would do it though?! I dunno, still baffled.
No plans for next year yet, work is crappy at the moment, so I may not have the funds. Tunisia is appealing along with Norway/Nordkapp but both big budget trips. we will see.
I hope you still have some enthusiasm left for another small trip somewhere even if its only Wales.
