Hi. I bought an 06 plate TD4 Sport with 65k on the clock at Xmas which came with a 12 months dealer warranty. It was fine for about 4 weeks but since then it seems to not change gear properly, and only seems to work efficiently if i drive it in the Sport mode. It is also a nightmare first thing in the morning and seems to have no decent acceleration for about 10-15 mins. It also seems to be producing a lot of smoke from the exhaust when accelerating. This appears to be blueish sometimes and then white others!! I've just had it serviced in a reputable garage and they have told me that all the sensors are saying things are fine and there doesn't seem to be any problems. I'm reluctant to put it into a LR Dealership to look at in fear of what they might find is causing these problems. Could anyone let me know if this is common with this model and how to rectify it? It also seems to be using a lot of diesel which i suspect is down to the problem. Thanks

if you got a 12 month warranty whats the problem take it back and get it fixed

they have a cold start/run inhibit program with the td4 auto that is designed to prevent damage/enhance during warm up , this is being overidden by your use of sports mode( manual shifting) is it ok when warmed up ?

do yu have to have it serviced by the dealer to not lose the warranty?

take it back. thats what a warranty is for .
