Hi every one when i turn my freelander hard to the right i get a nasty grinding noise from the rear.Think its drive shaft ??? turning to left....no problem....straight...no problem .....could it be anything else ? is it easy job? best place to get bits? i live on the wirral.Be very grateful if anyone can help....ian

check the left hand rear wheel bearings

I had the same trouble recently, took it to a local expert, a new diff mount and new prop shaft bearings cured it. It did 'boom' when taking up drive too!
