Also same with the IRD does the drain and filler plug have washers? in manual says "replace where fitted" but does say it it actually has any :S
 
I have an auto , But the IRD has washers but when I changed oil they looked ok so used them again , Not had any leaks .

Same as they tell you to replace sump washer every oil change and mine is 14 years old and probably the original one :D

done the gearbox and IRD oil change but can't remember for sure but I guess there must be, here is parts list from my sketches when I did it

gearbox filler plug ALU1396L
gearbox filler washer ALU1298L
gearbox drain plug DBM572L
gearbox drain washer ALU1403L

Wouldn't do any harm to fit a copper washer on to the filler & drain plugs. In fact, it would make future removal a lot easier providing the are not tightened with a two foot breaker bar !!
When I did my IRD and manual gearbox oil change there were no washers fitted but I was sure to fit copper washers when doing the job. It's absolutely stupid the tightness of these drain/filler plugs-no need for it at all.:eek::mad:
