Well I tried 500mm flood and got stuck !!!! luckily I just switched off when it struggled then when I got it home stripped intake and a bit more then rebuilt and after a bit of white smoke it cleared and it's all good!!! Turns out there was a 5 quid cover inside the wheel arch that covers the air intake missing!!! Something to look out for.

i went through 2 foot of flood water in mine no problem and before i got to the other side my way was blocked by a Disco turning round cos he'd bottled it.

also that air intake is different to the one i see. 2 years ago.

Lol I know its a bit later still! but on my freelander petrol I blocked off the lower air intake and just used the higher one which is behind the headlight, I have had no difference in performance or economy and I had to wade above the wheel due to flooding and it was fine

No, its real, you can see how they did it.

Crane dropped in front first into the mud, then just dropped it.

Its probably still there
