Hi all
May i ask if cruise control can be fitted to my td4
i take it all the wiring will be in place ,but what else is required ?
or is it only from new?
It can be retro fitted. As far as i am aware the wiring is not there and it will new to be done by a pro. Where i work we get them fitted all the time to all sorts of cars. I will find out the name as they are a national company and i will post it tomorrow

I had a right kerfuffle with this when I bought mine a couple of months ago - a dealer had the exact model I wanted in stock but it didnt have cruise control - the salesman told me that all the gubbins were in place and it would cost about £50 to have it retro-fitted - I actually signed on the dotted line when the dealer suddenly changed his mind and said that he had made an error and that they would have to get a third party in to fit it - the cost was to be in the region of £750 and it would also invalidate the warranty as it was not a Land Rover fitted system.
I thought this was just a ploy to get more money out of me so I got a quote from another dealership and it was about the same money (and similar advice re warranty)
When I told the dealer that I wasnt going to go ahead with the order he threatened to pursue me for breach of contract - obviously I told him to feel free and also pointed out that it would be a real shame if I contacted Land Rover and let them know how I was missold in one of their franchises (I made sure the Dealer Prinicipal heard me) and strangely enough I've not heard a word out of them since!!
Might be worth checking out what effect any work will have on your warranty before taking it on
