Hi All.
Following my last post about buying a version 2 model the old trouble & strife has had a change of mind, (as is a woman's prerogative), and decided to stick with the one we got, (TD4 2002, version 1).
So having checked various videos on the interweb thingy I have decided to install a carputer using an old Android 7" tablet PC. The thing is that there are plenty of ways to do it on other cars there is no obvious way to do it on a version 1 Freelander.
I have thought of removing the rubber pull-out tray above the air vents and sticking a DIY console or GPS hood in it's place but I think it would look ugly and obscure the clock. Or perhaps I could remove the clock and extend a hood back to cover where the clock was.
Is there any off the shelf front center console upgrade that does away with the radio/cassette player and relocates the switches and knobs surrounding it?
I'd appreciate any useful suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
