A mate has just had his rear diff re built on his f2. Was making a grinding niose, any one know of this fault, is it common? Bazz.:confused:
 
could it been lack of oil I have known in the past for items to have no oil in them from the new over the years maybe this was one of them

Q150 is a quarantine notice for ROW (rest of world) vehicles.

The bulletin he is refering to is LTB00345v2/2011.

Rear Differential Lower Level Repair Notification.




The basic jist of it is; pinion tail bearing spalling caused by subsurface material deformation. The cause of the deformation is static overload.
