Hi,

I am new to the world of Landy's (but due to own one by the end of next week I hope!)

I would like to know if the Freelander 1 TD4 Sport had heated seats as standard. Autotrader.co.uk seems to think so on the ones I've searched for. But lookat at one at a dealer, it had the lumbar support but he was adiment no heated seats (although the autotrader advert said it does).

If not, how easy and where best to get them fitted in the Bristol/Bath area?

All help on this appriciated!

Mark

My mates TD5 Freelander 1 53 plate has them fitted. Dealers often know nowt, I recently asked the salesman selling me an Astra, how many gears does it have, 5, he replied. Wrong.. it has 6 .

In 2004 they were a standard fit on all 3 and 5 door FL Sport models.

Don't know about other years. Check for switches on dash.

No they are not.

Just like parking sensors, heated front windscreen or leather interior.

Ive seen ones with cloth seats and no sensors or heated windscreen.

There is a sports premium model. That may come with the stuff, An SE spec model comes with all of the above apart from the 18s and the sports suspension.

I have a 2004 price list including all options.

According to it heated front seats are marked as standard.

However on checking all the little ticks and asterisks I see that were only standard (ie included automatically) if you went for the Alcantara seat option which cost £220 if you had the basic Sport, but a 'No Charge Option' on the Sport Premium models.

my mates basic sport with the 'rubbery seats' aren't heated, my neighbours with alcantara are and my full leather ones are :) check what you are buying cos i found alot of garages selling sport premium models which were actually just the basic spec. premium sports had full leather, heated screen and rear parkers as standard....

ah well !

I had to buy a range rover to get the heated seats that my freelander sport didnt have ! LOL
