Hi, the mot on my Freelander 1 is due in a few days and one of my rear tyres is looking very worn down so a guy at my land rover specialist said why don't I put the spare wheel on, I went to do this and noticed that the plastic key used to remove the locking wheel nut is broken, has anyone got any ideas on how to remove it without the key? I will try to get another one but I need to get the wheel changed soon ideally.

I don't have a Freelander but are you sure they have a "plastic" key to remove the locking wheel nut?

A small hook tool?
Pliers?
Surely you Land Rover Specialist could have improvised and got the plastic cover off?
