Have got a 02 freelander, I fitted a Visteon 6500 CD player so I could also fit the steering wheel controls, recently I bought an alpine CD changer but the connect is for the older head unit with a 17 pin plug which doesn't work with the steering controls. Does anyone have the Visteon head unit with a CD changer? If so would it be possible for a picture showing which pins the wires go to as I believe it uses the 10 pin connector also used for the sat nav. Many thanks Edward.

Try In Car Tech. I sourced a lead for my audio controls from them. I had the Becker/Harmon Kardon/6 CD changer under the drivers seat. They appear to be the only company that makes leads for an '06 model which I have.

I replaced the head unit with a Kenwood unit.
