Hi,

I am completely new to this forum, but have been reading threads from time to time. Unfortunately the time has come for seeking some help from you lovely people.

I have seen threads on this issue before, but I need some further help if possible. The tailgate on my FL2 2013 SD4 has started opening at intermittent times, mostly when I am either getting in to start the engine, or when another door is opened or closed. I believe that I need to replace the tailgate switch, but would be looking for some confirmation from the more educated people than me.

My model is the Lux, which has the rear camera mounted on the tailgate full-width handle, so does the camera form part of the switch loom or not?

Also, can I simply get away with cleaning the contacts, or do I have to replace the loom in whole?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
