so yesterday I spent the day with family in Swanage in the beach and unfortunately my key/fob fell in the sea. Initially it was still working but this morning (still in Swanage) I went to try and open the disco and the fob wasn’t working.

I tried opening it with the key and the alarm went off (as I suspected) I don’t have an EKA code (or at least if I do it’s st home with all my other paperwork as is the spare key/fob) is there anything I can do to get the key working again or do I need to try and get it to a Land Rover dealer?

Thanks in advance.

Post in the Disco section as MHM says,

You can get the EKA code online for £20.

Cheers

Thanks for this just waiting for them to find my code now.
Fingers crossed the previous owner has not changed it.

Make sure to follow the destructions to the letter that are in the book. Make sure you use the D2 instructions.

Cheers

Have you tried completely drying the fob circuit board and replacing the battery.

Col

Yeah I tried that to no avail.

More to the point did the EKA work?

Cheers

Yes, the code did work (sorry I've not been able to get back on here) thank you! although sadly while driving the 300 miles home the auto gearbox completely shat itself just a couple of miles from my front door! I've put it into a local specialist and they've quoted me £1500 plus VAT to replace the box :(

Ouch, that sucks.
