good day all

My freelander 1 2001 1.8 petrol, wont start the dash light come on but when you turn the key nothing happens,
i also noticed that after getting the fob to work that it does not unlock the driver door it has to be unlocked by key
could anybody shed some light on this

Check the small wire going to the starter motor these have a habit of becoming loose and stopping the starter working! If only one door is not working I'd be looking at that door! Wiring or motor! Can't see that stopping it starting

failed door lock solenoid, common fault, replace the lock assembly £75 dealer £50 ebay.

takes about an hour if you've not done it before

I have this problem with the remote not opening the drivers lock (FL1, TD4).
If I change the door lock assembly will I need to do any reprogramming?

No, a door latch is plug and play
