i have a very 1987 defender which obviously had no radio as standard, i have fitted a cb fitted with a Springer antenna on the left rear and i would like to use the same on the right for fm radio. will it work and where can i buy the cable from

Yes it will work but not quite as good as a true FM aerial, if you are going to buy a second springer you can get the aerial cable from the same company. If not maplins

I have drums of the stuff. RG6, RG59, RG11 etc... I'd happily send you a couple of meters for the postage costs.

who works for a cable company then eh? lol!

Haha. No just a bit mad about home entertainment and home networks etc.. When I moved into our current house one of the first things's was filling it with data points and RF points and RF distribution but have plenty of stuff left. I even have the proper coveted Virgin Media style compression fit waterproof snap&seal F connectors which make most TV guys look a bit bemused when they bring out the little screw on things.

Can't beat the snap and seal f connectors. I'd sayrg59 would be best for running around the truck as it bends a little better than the rest.
