hi can I use a CB aerial mount for normal fm radio I want two like this either side of my door

CB radio aerials have a lower impedance than FM radio aerials.....50 Ohms as opposed to 75 Ohms.
However an FM radio will be alright on a CB aerial, it might not be quite as sensitive (to marginal radio stations) but it will work just fine.
There's more of an issue with CB as it's also a transmitter, so it's more important to have a matched aerial.
But again it will still work and the mismatch (SWR would probably be around 1.5 instead of the ideal 1.0)
is unlikely to make much difference.

In short, use the CB aerial and cable for your FM radio if you want....it will work!

On the same aerial? Or an aerial for each one?
If on the same aerial then no. Well not at the same time! And you'd need a splitter to connect radio/CB to the same aerial.

But on separate aerials then yes. You may find that when transmitting on the CB you get interference on the radio, which can be caused by various factors. You'd have to try it and see how you go.

So separate aerials with the cable supplied?

Do they sell adapters for the CB cable to fit into the radio/stereo?

You'll need to cut the connector off the CB aerial cable and solder an FM radio aerial connector on instead.

I just checked and there is a CB to FM radio adaptor for your CB aerial cable.

Just type in "CB to FM radio adaptor" on Google or Ebay

Check what type of aerial connector the radio has first....there are two types!
