Remove injectors, turn it over a few times with the fuel disconnected, cover the engine with a cloth as fuel will spray everywhere. Thats what I would do.

i didnt know it was possible to flood an engine with diesel, normally excess fuel makes a diesel easier to start and the excess comes out the exhaust as black smoke...

Glow plug relay failed chap just kept churning over injecting fuel .
new relay fitted power once again to plugs 10v and timed but flooded son no music
there is now we pushed it down the lane .if it doesnt go then theres no chance at all ;)
Now she makes the music running ok cleared exess fuel .

So did you just bump start it then or how did you clear it?

pulled injectors cleared as much as fluid as could battery was low so chucked
it down the lane . and i hate walking up :D

i would suspect its more a case of caning the battery trying to start without glow plugs , then the flatish battery not turning the engine over fast enough to start rather than flooding with fuel,
but i could be totally wrong.

lump of chain, attached to anything bigger than pug, pull with engine turning over but NOT switched on then switch on.
boom,
or bingo :)
