i have recently completed an disco 200 tdi engine conversion on my 90
that went well but the problem started when i first drove it after the conversion.

when i accelerate up through the gears i get a flat spot near the top end of the gears and the max speed of my 90 has gone down to 60mph from 75 with my 19j engine

does anyone have any sugestions

You sure your geting full throttle from your pedal? Have you checked pushing it to the floor is enough movement?

check fuel pressure at rull revs, it may be starved, 4k is about yer max.
check yer throttle cable aint stretched, you should feel the slack in the pedal by tapping it with yer foot.
