Thinking of changing gearbox for a 4HP24 from a 4.6 RR. Looking to buy/hire a transmission jack to do the job.
If anyone has done this, can you tell me what clearance I will need beneath the car as I will need to do the job on the drive using ramps and/or axle stands.
If there is anyone near Weymouth, Dorset who has changed a gearbox and would like to lend a hand, beer tokens are on offer!

Decided not to change the gearbox myself as I reckon it is going to be too much for me to manage on my drive. Looks like I will have to pay someone to do the job for me. So now I need to source a secondhand box. I spoke to one garage and they are not all that keen on fitting a 4HP24 instead of the original 4HP22 so we will have to wait and see.
