Hi
I am looking at a FL2 and took it for a test drive yesterday, very nice but the clutch had a very high bite.

Could this be a hint of a pending failure or is it a simple adjustment somewhere?
Thanks

I think it's a hydraulic clutch so the height of the bite should not be relevant to clutch wear. But it shouldn't be abnormal, so something is wrong. There are a lot of problems with slipping clutch on these, usually due to either the dual mass flywheel or to the internal clutch adjuster getting full of dust. The symptom is clutch slip in fifth gear, so it's essential to do a high-speed test drive. If there is a problem it's an expensive repair, so if you are unsure, either don't buy or get a VERY good warranty which specifically covers clutch and flywheel.

Ok, thanks for that.
Think I'll give it a miss as don't want the worry of a clutch failure.
