Hello all. I am fitting a tow-bar to the D2, primirally to fix a cycle carrier to. I have looked at all the related threads and just wanted to see if I had missed anything;
1) Get bolts supplied as part of the kit
2) HT bolts for actual ball hitch
3) Get OEM electrics as part of kit (plug and play connnection behind rear light)
4) It is heavy
5) there will be rust on D2 chassis that may cause problems fitting bolts
6) Previous damage from knocks and bumps may become apparent on chassis when aligning all the bolts and brackets.
7) get torque settings right on all fixings.
8) departure angle will be reduced / plough effect!
Anything else? I have not selected the supplier yet so any recent experience / pointers appreciated.
Cheers all!
