so, an update, after buying a lift kit from SES88 around a month ago, my first attempt at fitting them failed, my own fault for not having gathered all the info, put up a post and ryan168 had just fitted his, and gave me the info I needed, so I was just waiting for a nice day, and having drove down the path to our woods yesterday and bottoming out in the vitara, thought today was the day to have another crack at it, so far one rear done, around 2hrs, so hopefully that will get shorter now I've done the first, took a fair bit of jiggling, but got there in the end, didn't need to bend a spanner, did the back nut from inside car through the suspension hole
so, after undoing the top nuts from inside car, then remove nuts/bolts from wheel

that gives you just enough room to get the spacer in and bolt up

then put all bolts back in, using a sissor jack under the rear drum helps move everything into position for the bolts, just need to do the exhaust bolts back up

hope to get the rest done this afternoon
