Hi

I recently bought a 2005 defender 90 van. It's a lovely truck with just 33k on it and it's in great condition.
Being a late van it doesn't have the two small windows either side of the rear door.

My question is does anyone have or know of a template to cut the panels for these windows?
I've bought the glass and the rubbers etc but can't seem to find anyone who can tell me exactly where to cut and by how much.

If anyone has experience of fitting these windows any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

There were some van sides on ebay for £30 buy it now,you could buy them and use it as a template or even change your van sides

Yeah, I've seen various sides etc on Ebay. I thought that getting the windows cut in was going to be an easier option but it's turning out not to be.
If I don't get any joy with them I think that may be the way I go. I'll probably look out for a roof with some alpine windows too.

Did you ever have any luck with this ? I'm on the verge of buying a 2003 van (no side or rear windows) and would want both the side and rear windows cutting into it.

I take it I'll need to inform the DVLA and insurance of the changes ?
