Please can anyone help. Can I fit a TD5 or TDCi bulkhead to a 72/73 series 2A.? I don't mind using a later dash/screen etc but will the doors and hard top still mate up OK

Hi i fitted a defender bulkhead, truck cab and windscreen to a series three, had to chop the gearbox tunnel, but i have ended up with a gap above the doors, other than that its all the same

Thanks for info, but I understand that there is quite a difference between 2a and a 3. With the 3 being more closely related to the Defender. Regards Jim

well that sounds like a recipe for ringing


just repair the original

don't think so, the bulkhead mounting points are the same distance apart

the rest of your interior panels wont fit properly, tunnel, floors, pedal box is different, cylinder mountings etc

puma doesn't have vents either, and you'd have to weld in new hinges for the windscreen as they don't fold

Its probably less work getting a decent second hand bulkhead or repairing the one you've got than modifying a fender bulkhead

I have a s3 in my 2a. Seems to fit ok at the min.
