Hi Guy's

Probably asked loads of times, I have tried the search function but I can only find referrals to defenders.

I currently have a steel spare wheel bolted to the back door, I now have an alloy spare I would like to fit, I have tried offering it up but the studs appear to be too short.

What do I have to do to make the alloy spare fit to the rear door?

Any advice greatly appreciated

Regards

David

What nuts are u using?
The studs are standard alloy wheels require the correct spare wheel nuts, the thread is deaper inside.

Thanks for the replies,

got some nuts today, fitted fine, just a small amount of movement now, so may need some spacers behind.

Depending on VIN the correct nut for a spare alloy wheel is NTC8240 or ANR4914.
The locking nut is NTC8278.
Nuts used on road wheels won't tighten up fully on the alloy spare unless a spacer/washer is used.
