Fitted the linkages etc off a 300tdi today to get my centre diff lock up and running, all works as it should including the light on the dash.
I did a fair bit of reading up before I started and found several "how to's" which said the three amigos come on when the cdl is engaged with the engine running and the hdc, abs and traction control are either disabled or work at a reduced rate. This is stopped (if you want) by cutting a black and blue wire at the slabs ecu.
My lights don't come on though! They show briefly when I turn the ignition on so they've not been removed but definitely don't show when the diff lock is on.
It's a 2000 (w) td5 manual. Should this be a cause for concern? Near the diff lock spigot, there's two wires that aren't connected to anything, ones black and blue the other's yellow and green but other wires are connected to the switch and that puts the light on on the dash as it should.
