Here's what's left of my 93 V8 Disco. Owned for about a year now and slowly trying to rebuild it.

Started off needing rear crossmember but once the the carpet was pulled back, there was more holes and rust than good metal.

So i started with the angle grinder and perhaps got carried away and this is how it's ended up now.

Currently painting and protecting the chassis before i fit the new crossmember and start to reconstruct the floor.

So, the fuel lines are corroded and need replacing, do i need to use metal pipes or are rubber pipes the standard these days?

Welcome. That looks oddly fantastic. One of the V8 genii will be along shortly with the fuel line advice. I'd be guessing and that's not right.

on my 3.5 it came with rubber hose, i found some pipe with much thicker walls at a local motor factor and replaced the lot. rubber is much easier to fix on the road aswell

Could you not find the off switch on the grinder? By the time you've finished this you could of bought a new Discovery.

On a serious note,good luck.

There was just to many rust holes and fiberglass patches from previous owners. I wanted solid metal and easy access to make rust prevention more simple.
