I'd like to think about ways of moving the battery set up away from the front centre to enable me to turn it into a seat again for one of the kids. Has anyone tried this or got advice on how feasible this is? Ideally under the bonnet but I would consider placing it on the rear floor behind the centre seat.
any suggestions welcome
thanks
mike

What about under the passenger seat, my 12v battery was moved there from the engine bay by welding a box under the passenger seat box.
(don't know if a 24v is bigger or not)

Unfortunately the FFR has the petrol tanks under the driver and passenger seats- another nuance of the lightweight!

Ah, ok. What's the space like in the engine bay then, most series have it there and you can buy the tray and retainer. (I suspect space will be an issue)

You could always look at putting them in the rear arches, one on either side at the back. I'm fairly sure this was done on some of the lightweight's.

I know on the FFR the radio batteries used to be on a mount that bolts to the rear bulkhed in the back. You could get one of those to hold the batteries
