The Marine sealant is available from most marine shops (sorry for sounding a bit obvious) or chandlery outlets. Basically anything to do with yachts n stuff.
It's a bit like a bathroom sealant that is on steroids and is ocean resistant. Seems to be doing the job on my old bus for sure.
Cracking effort on the Disco mate. Very inspiring.

Out of interest, did you clean the inlet manifold as well or just the intercooler? Going to clean my intercooler and fit new pipes but didn't fancy taking the manifold off in case a new gasket was needed.

Didn't bother cleaning that out as I couldn't be arsed, I'll do it later in the year and order a gasket to go with it. Might as well replace it if cleaning
Looking good there mate....when you gonna make a rear bumper then since the job list is coming down.....

Checked the sunroofs earlier and touch wood that they're still not leaking as its ****ing it down

Must admit I never bothered cleaning it out when i did my intercooler, something else on the 'to do'list'
I keep checking my sunroofs, as did them all about 2 1/2 years ago, and noticed a spot of water the other day...so might replace the seals since I have redone all the doors.
Like the idea of making my own bumpers, and you have inspired me to maybe try front and rears....if you don't mind me asking, how much will the total out lay be on your front bumper, as wondering how much saving building your own to buying new. Cheers

I used £78 worth of steel, that was due to me using some proper heavy stuff for the centre section and then the first metal workers I went to were rather expensive compared to the second one I used. Probably would have been about £60 had I used the same guys all the way through, this included them tacking all the side bits together and cutting them to my templates…..all of the steel used was between 6-4mm and some 2" by 3mm box section as a support rail

Got my sliders from Ian at Rock-sliders - as I looked into making a set, but by the time I got the steel etc, then powder coated etc wasn't really cost effective, plus Ian's are curved to follow the bottom of the doors, which I couldn't do.
Am actually coming back up North in a week or so, and will be calling on Ian again for a new Tank Guard with removable hitch
