Is it a 2005 TDV6 2.7 And do u loose power if u boot it
Hi been t several garages, 1st new gear box! Took to a gearbox specialist said it was the engine! Feel like a hamster going round in circles. Have cleared the faults, so what next? Is it the gearbox or engine, or ecu?
Is a 2.7 yes, can't boot it won't select a gear.

Urs is a ZF 6hp
There is a guy in the Range Rover forum who is wizard with these gearboxes
See what codes come up please and then post a thread over in the Range Rover section , where he should see ur post

As a side note, ref the picture u can see how complicated ur system is and how important it is to get codes, as it could even be a wheel sensor causing all the issues ???

Am wondering when the ATF oil was last changed , as the OP is reporting a gear issue , sounds like it’s going into failsafe limp mode when a big F comes up on the message screen
Have the same gearbox in mine and always happy to help where I can
Also included a picture of how the gearbox interacts with other systems , all good fun
