Hi all,
Me again, If I need to buy a fault code reader for my freelander 1999 model l4 engine. What type do I need to buy seen several different ones on e'bay obd2 ect.

Celt69

If I had the cash burning a hole I'd order this - you should ask them if you need an adapter though.

I bought one recently and it isn't connecting to mine
Works on the missus car though

I wouldn't buy a cheapish one unless it was recommended to work on your model by someone on here or from Freelander savy people elsewhere
No matter how cheap it's a waste of cash if it's not working:(

@Grayo- they're not great if you have (as celt69 has) a 1999 diesel Freelander. It has not got an OBD 2 compatible onboard computer. As far as I can see (and I'm looking around myself as I also own an XEdi Freelander from 2000) the options are: a Hawkeye diagnostics computer (3-400 quid) or Testbook (1000 quid plus - secondhand) :-(
