My Disco has the three amigos permanently on. Took it to a local garage who read the codes and it came back as

front right sensor output too low

front right sensor electrical failure

front right sensor signal erratic

shuttle valve switch electrical failure

Does thgis sound like a fault with the hub? and would this also bring up the shuttle valve fault? or do i have 2 problems?

Thanks

Your description does make it sound like two faults. Personally I would tackle this by first doing the shuttle valve switch modification, there's quite a lot about it both here on the forum and the net. It should then take the "shuttle valve switch electrical failure" out of the equation, and it is the cheaper job to do.

The next thing to do would be to get the remaining historic fault codes cleared using a Hawkeye, Nanocom or the garage and see how it goes. If the 3 amigos come back then you'll know that you probably have a duff sensor/hub, if they don't come back then you can put it down to one of those chance intermittent things which sometimes happen with the Disco.
Getting the old fault codes cleared is an important stage of the troubleshooting procedure.

Yep! The handyhowie link is the easier one to follow, it's the one which I followed the first time I did the mod. Another advantage of this method is that you don't need to fully disassemble the ABS modulator or disconnect any brake pipes, just carefully remove the SVS plate.
The landroverclubvi link explains very fully what can go wrong and how to fully disassemble the modulator unit. If you opt to follow that link, you should go straight to "Option B".
By reading and sort of combining both descriptions you should get a pretty good idea of what you're doing (or supposed to be doing!)

I decided i would try and carry out the shuttle valve mod today, went out and noticed that a wire had been spliced into the yellow and green wire but it had snapped. my first thought was happy days, the mod has already been done and if i just repair this wire no more lights. But no, repaired the wire and still had all 3 lights, took it to my garage and they tried to clear the codes but it wouldnt remove the shuttle valve error.

I decided to strip it all down and see if there were any other problems. It seems somebody had spliced into the yellow and green wire running it to earth instead of carrying out the mod. Dunno why??

so i carried out the wiring and now have a clear dash, didnt have to have the codes cleared so im one happy man

So after feeling pretty pleased with myself theyre back on!!! And staying on.

When it was first checked it showed shuttle valve and front sensor fault. Could it be that its the front sensor fault thats now causing them to stay on? In which case i will need to replace the hub?
