getting one for x-mas whats the best make to go for.

price under £100 what size is most versitile
 
i have a jack-all (orange one) its built to last unlike the cheap ones that are made of play-doh, but either hi-lift or jack-all are good, make sure you kow how to use them before you start playing or you could end up in horse-pit-all or worse! they are lethal if you don't treat them with respect

i dunno i got my 109 down off 2' axle stands with my jackall and if you want to shunt a landy sideways they are ideal jack the wheels 6" off the ground and gice it a shove in the direction you want to go ;)
 
I used mine to remove 3 tyres last week. & I used it again yesterday to take all four muds off and put me road wheels on.

thas the 4' jobie int it... same as what i have... fits nice behind the seats in a defender and a series :D

ha ha, i got some pics when i get round to it, i took a set of bfg off me 90, with the wheels still on the motor and used the old bars,
then i used a can of solvent spray and me lighter to pop a new set back on , were easy once yer get used to it, yer need to get the air in it quick or they go flat again when the gas shrinks

Aye, There spot on for shifting them sideways :) Mine was stuck against a fence and having a high-lift saved me fooking ages!

Can be a bit lethal though! The Series 3 fell off it once, Missed me but it does make you think! Did'nt Stigs lad break his jaw with one?

The shorter one is better unless you really need the long one coz it fits neatly along the rear bulkhead in a 90, otherwise you'll probly have to store it externally or along the length of the tub, which is a bit pants.
 
i have never found need for a 5 foot as i have never got near the top of me 4foot what i do need to get is some chain , some rated shackles small enough to fit the thing and some choker chains wit them hooks which lock onto the chain itself

anyone know where i can get some?

I got a right nice set at Elvaston Steam Fair a while ago .. about a tenner ... fully rated etc and in a nice plastic box too .. ;)
