So the little fcuker failed the MoT on a few things, Most important is the rear brake lines. Any good kits out there for a 3.9 v8 disco 1. May aswell get extended ones.
 
brake pipes or hoses?

If its pipes then get a kit and make your own. Its dead easy.

Hoses? Have a look on eBay or speak to Gwyn Lewis.
 
Lines I have the copper pipe but no connectors or the flaring tool. Might buy hoses aswell tbh

i make my own copper pipes and bought my +6" from extreme 4x4 ... not connected to em but very happy with service, a brake pipe kit will pay for itself time n again over the years...

Yeah thats what im doing at the moment just checking what size pipe I have and getting a tow home.
 
I really don't get on with the lil cheap flaring tools, like the ebay one. Always slips are creates a crap flare, the sykes pickavant flaremaster 2 is good but pricey.
 
Got a cheap flare tool. Will need to make do! I have all the kit enroute. Just hope they get it running so I can bring it home and fix it.
 
Lovely work in those pictures Steve, the cap head bolts on the swivel are interesting, are they not a pain to work with, particularly in emergency when only spanners available?

Used cap head stainless on my engine rebuild, master bolt kit, but some were unuseable because spanner was the only accessible tool.

Either way, beautiful pictures.
 
Right she is home and the list is very long. Mostly lights so I will clean all contacts and earth's. The 2 things that need work are brake pipes (enroute). The handbrake is also at 43% so will adjust and see if that helps any good way of testing it to be sure. I mean it held on the flat bed.

Surprising the number of newish cars where the handbrake doesn't hold on the flat bed. Hate having to roll back off and use the winch! :mad:
